1. Introductory Provisions
Definitions
- Provider: Engeto s.r.o., IČO: 04671317, with its registered office at Nové sady 988/2, Staré Brno, 602 00 Brno, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in Brno, Section C, Insert 148335, operating the Rutvi educational platform available at rutvi.com
- User: a natural or legal person who uses the services of the Platform
- Platform: the Rutvi web and mobile application providing AI-native personalised learning
- Subscription: a recurring paid service providing access to Platform features
- Content: educational materials, courses, exercises and other content available on the Platform
- Digital Content: educational materials, AI-generated outputs and other digital content provided through the Platform within the meaning of § 2389a et seq. of the Civil Code
- Free Plan: a free tier with limited access to features
- Pro Plan: a paid tier with full access to all Platform features
Subject Matter
These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "T&C") govern the relationship between the Provider and the User in the provision of services through the Rutvi Platform, including the provision of digital content within the meaning of § 2389a et seq. of the Civil Code.
Acceptance of T&C
By registering on the Platform or first using the services, the User confirms that they have read these T&C and agree to them in full. If the User does not agree with these T&C, they must not use the Platform's services.
2. Registration and User Account
Registration Requirements
- Accurate and up-to-date information must be provided upon registration
- The User is responsible for protecting their account credentials
- One User may have only one account
Account Responsibility
The User is responsible for all activity carried out under their account. In the event of suspected unauthorised use of the account, the User must immediately contact the Provider.
Account Cancellation
The User may cancel their account at any time via account settings or by contacting customer support. The Provider reserves the right to cancel or suspend an account in the event of a violation of these T&C.
3. Plans and Subscriptions
Free Plan
Price: CZK 0
Service scope:
- 1 AI-generated learning path / month
- Personal AI learning assistant
- Recommended YouTube videos and reference content
- Interactive activities and exercises
Pro Plan
Price: CZK 250/month
Service scope:
- Everything included in the Free Plan, plus:
- More learning paths*
- Priority access to new features
*The actual number of available learning paths depends on several factors and may vary:
- Learning path complexity and length
- AI assistant usage (questions, explanations, recommendations)
- Volume of AI-generated content

Plan Changes
- Upgrade: activated immediately upon payment
- Downgrade: takes effect at the end of the current subscription period
4. Payment Terms
Payment Methods
Payments are accepted through the Stripe payment gateway. Accepted methods include credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and other methods available via Stripe.
Billing
- Monthly subscription: billed each month on the subscription start date
- Annual subscription: billed once a year on the subscription start date; the User will be notified by email in advance of the upcoming end of the annual subscription
- Invoices are sent electronically to the User's email address
Automatic Renewal
The Pro Plan subscription is concluded for an indefinite period with an automatic monthly or annual renewal cycle. By subscribing to a paid plan, the User authorises the Provider to automatically charge the fee for the next period via the stored payment method, until the subscription is cancelled by the User in the account settings.
The subscription automatically renews at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Failed Payment
In the event of a failed payment:
- The User is notified by email
- The Provider will retry the payment
- Upon repeated failure, access to the paid plan may be suspended
- The account is retained, but the User has access only to Free Plan features
Withdrawal from Contract for Digital Content
Given that the Service consists of delivering digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the User explicitly agrees to have the Service made available (performance commenced) immediately upon order confirmation and payment of the Subscription.
Loss of the Right of Withdrawal:
By checking the checkbox to accept these T&C, the User acknowledges that, in accordance with § 1837 písm. l) občanského zákoníku, this consent extinguishes their right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving a reason. The Provider does not provide refunds for unused periods of the Subscription, unless otherwise decided as part of promotional campaigns (e.g., voluntary satisfaction guarantee).
5. Cancellation of Subscription
Cancellation by User
- Via account settings in the "Subscription" section
- By contacting customer support at hello@rutvi.com
Effect of Cancellation
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period
- Until the end of the period, the User has full access to paid features
- After the subscription ends, the account is converted to the Free Plan
Access to Content After Downgrade to Free Plan
- The User retains access to all learning paths created under the Pro Plan, including all of their content
- Access to AI features corresponds to the scope of the Free Plan
No Refund for Unused Period
Except in cases of withdrawal from the contract pursuant to Section 4.5, no proportional refund is provided for unused days of the current period upon cancellation of the subscription.
Fair Use Policy
The Pro Plan Service is intended for ordinary individual use by the User. The purpose of this policy is to ensure the stability of the Platform and the availability of services for all Users.
The following are considered misuse of the Service or a violation of the Fair Use Policy:
- Using the Service via automated scripts, bots or other tools for bulk content generation
- Sharing access credentials for a single User account among multiple persons
- Generating content at a volume that goes beyond normal human use and could jeopardise the stability of the Provider's infrastructure (e.g., attempts to generate hundreds of courses in a short time period)
- Commercial use of content generated under an individual plan without the Provider's consent
In the event of suspected violation of the Fair Use Policy, the Provider may, at its sole discretion:
- Temporarily limit the speed of content generation (throttling)
- Suspend the User's access to the Platform until the situation is clarified
- Restrict or terminate the provision of the Service without compensation and without a notice period
6. Rights and Obligations of the User
User Entitlements
The User is entitled to:
- Use the Platform's services in accordance with these T&C
- Create, save and study educational content
- Upload own files (documents, videos) for processing by the Platform
- Contact customer support
User Obligations
The User undertakes to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information
- Not infringe copyright or third-party rights
- Not upload content that is unlawful, offensive, discriminatory or contrary to good morals
- Not use the Platform to spread spam, malware or other harmful materials
- Not share their account with third parties
- Not attempt to circumvent technical restrictions of the Platform or disrupt its operation
User Intellectual Property
The User retains all copyright to content they upload to the Platform (documents, presentations, videos, images and other files). By providing content to the Platform, the User grants the Provider a non-exclusive licence to use that content solely for the purpose of providing services (AI processing, generating educational materials, personalisation).
7. Rights and Obligations of the Provider
Service Provision
The Provider undertakes to:
- Provide Platform services at a quality appropriate to the nature of the services
- Ensure Platform availability except for planned outages
- Provide necessary security updates to the Platform
- Protect Users' personal data in accordance with GDPR
Updates and Maintenance
The Provider performs regular updates and maintenance of the Platform to improve features and security. Users will be informed about planned maintenance via notifications on the Platform.
Provider Intellectual Property
All rights to the Platform, including source code, design, AI algorithms, databases and business know-how, remain the exclusive property of the Provider. The User does not acquire any rights to these elements other than the right to use the services under these T&C.
Changes to Services
The Provider reserves the right to:
- Modify and improve Platform features
- Add new features and remove obsolete ones
- Suspend services in the event of serious technical problems or security risks
Limitation of Liability
IMPORTANT NOTICE — AI Technology: The Platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for generating educational content and providing an AI mentor. The User expressly acknowledges the following:
- Possible factual errors: AI models may generate information that contains factual errors, inaccuracies or is misleading (so-called "AI hallucinations")
- Verification of information: The User is obliged to critically evaluate AI-generated content and verify important information from trusted sources
- Not a substitute for professional advice: The Platform and the AI mentor do not provide professional advice (medical, legal, financial or otherwise). Content is for educational purposes only
- Assistive technology: The AI mentor is a supportive tool for learning support, not an authoritative source of truth
- Currency: AI models are trained on data with a certain cut-off date and may not reflect the latest developments in a given field
General limitations of liability:
The Provider is not liable for:
- Damages arising from incorrect or inaccurate information generated by AI
- Decisions made by the User based on AI-generated content
- Damages arising from improper use of the Platform by the User
- Data loss caused by the User's device failure or insufficient security on the User's side
- Content created or uploaded by third parties
- Temporary unavailability of services caused by force majeure, DDoS attacks or other events beyond the Provider's control
- Damages arising from incompatibility with a specific device or software of the User
The Provider's liability for damages is limited to the amount of the User's annual subscription, except in cases of intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence.
8. Complaints and Defect Removal
Rights from Defective Performance
The Provider is responsible for ensuring that digital content and services are in conformity with the contract. The following are considered non-conformity with the contract:
- Core Platform features do not work at all or function fundamentally differently from their description
- The Platform contains security vulnerabilities that have not been remedied within a reasonable time
- The Platform does not allow the User to use the features corresponding to their plan
Complaints Process
The User may file a complaint by email to hello@rutvi.com with a description of the issue. The Provider will acknowledge receipt of the complaint and resolve it without undue delay, no later than 30 days from its submission. The User will be informed of the outcome at the email address from which the complaint was filed.
Exclusion of Liability
The following are not considered defects:
- Inaccuracies or errors in AI-generated content (see Section 7.5)
- Malfunctions caused by incompatible devices or browsers of the User
- Issues caused by the User's internet connection
- Unavailability due to pre-announced planned maintenance
9. Personal Data Protection
The Provider processes Users' personal data in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the processing of personal data. Detailed information about the processing of personal data, the scope of processed data, the purpose of processing, legal bases, data subject rights and retention periods is provided in the separate "Privacy Policy" document available at rutvi.com/cs/privacy.
10. Changes to T&C
The Provider is entitled to unilaterally change these T&C. The User will be notified of any changes at least 14 days in advance. If the User does not agree with the change, they may cancel their subscription. Continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the change.
11. Termination of Services
The Provider may terminate the provision of services upon serious or repeated violation of these T&C, in particular in the case of:
- Illegal content, spam, hacking
- Service abuse
- Non-payment of subscription
Upon termination of services, the User loses access to paid features. The Provider may archive the User's data for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted.
12. Specific Provisions for SaaS and AI Outputs
Nature of AI Outputs
The User acknowledges that Content is generated automatically using artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. Due to the technological nature of AI services, the Provider does not guarantee the factual accuracy, currency or completeness of generated information. Content is for educational purposes only and does not substitute professional advice. The User uses AI outputs at their own risk.
Service Availability
The Provider makes every effort to ensure continuous availability of the Platform. However, the User acknowledges that temporary limitations in availability may occur due to system maintenance, updates or outages of third parties (e.g., cloud service providers or AI model providers).
The Provider does not guarantee 100% service availability. Relevant planned maintenance or incidents will be communicated via notifications within the Platform (in-app notifications). A public status page may also be made available in the future.
Rights to Outputs
AI-generated outputs (courses, materials) created based on the User's input are not subject to copyright of either the Provider or the User. The User may use them within the Platform for their own learning. The Provider does not enable export of content outside the Platform. Content is available only for the duration of the subscription.
Data Deletion After Service Termination
The User is responsible for backing up Content they have created during an active subscription. The Platform does not provide a content export function to PDF, Markdown or other formats.
After the Subscription ends or the account is cancelled, the Provider has the right (but not the obligation) to permanently remove all User data from the Platform without any claim for compensation.
The Provider typically archives data for 30 days after the end of the subscription, during which the User may request restoration of access (reactivation of the subscription). After this period expires, data may be permanently deleted.
Assignment of Agreement
The Provider is entitled to transfer its rights and obligations under this agreement (or the agreement as a whole) to a third party in connection with the sale of the business, merger or other form of company reorganisation, even without the prior consent of the User, provided that such transfer does not result in a deterioration of consumer rights.
13. Final Provisions
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These T&C are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes shall be resolved before the competent courts of the Czech Republic.
If the User is a consumer, they have the right to contact the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz) or use the online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).

Effective Date
